the first time my clothing has ever been CGI'd... awesome!

let me just start by saying, 

my friends are not only awesome, but 

insanely talented.

alexander asked me if i might be into doing some costume work on a

video that he was shooting, and so i obviously jumped on the chance. 

here is what happened.

designing clothing is a lot of fun, but actually seeing it come to life beyond your wildest dreams is, well...  un-real.

i have always found myself in awe of dancers.  there effortless approach to calculating every movement in their bodies and executing it with a level of grace that i will most likely never achieve is a true thing of beauty.

the following is a video, entitled "from the earlier", the brain child of the yomoco, is a dark and twisted journey that captures in my mind, what is the mystery of conception.  please enjoy!

i get why tourists always stand in the way.

somewhere between madison and 5th, right by the met, there is this amazing building (i guess technically it is considered a brownstone, but it is massive) that is guarded by the most amazing figures.  i love it.

in todays wwd.  marlene dietrich had only one proviso before signing on to do hitchcocks' "stage fright".

i don't like cities, but i (heart) new york.

ode to a master

viewing these photos and the shared video move me. it must have been so amazing to be a part of such a magical moment. when thinking of alexander mcqueen and what made him so great, i dont necessarily think that it was just his clothing that is responsible for his imprint on the world of fashion. i really feel that a lot of what made him so magical was the trust that people gave to him, and more importantly, the trust that he seemed to give to others. looking at all of his shows, you cant help but see the tether of respect that is binding both him and the amazing models that he works with. he isnt just showing dresses, but more a moment. he is asking these women to not just wear the clothing, but to be the clothing. to not just walk the runway to show the clothing, but to use the runway to tell a story.
